It took me a while to Google search this native species of wild flower found in Lake Tahoe. Simply gorgeous, the pink petals and warm pollen centers are most inviting.
I had the fortune of visiting the San Francisco Zoo on a lovely summer day. I've taken plenty of photos but this one caught my eye the most. There were two female grizzly's in the den. Kachina was very playful in the pool and I happen to capture her playfulness at the right moment, or was it Kiona?
If you happen to be visiting San Francisco please head over to the Samovar Tea Lounge at Yerba Buena Gardens. Order the 'English Service', you won't be disappointed. Actually try all of them. Special thanks to my friend Jason for introducing me to this quaint place for tea!
He's one of those easy-going, intelligent and approachable guys with a big heart. I had the pleasure of having his company with my friends for a special road trip to Oregon. This was taken just outside Mo's resturant overlooking the bay of Lincoln City.
Nature at it's best on a summer day at Crater Lake National Park. The lush forest surrounds the azure lake and mountains. What I found interesting was the little girl who was admiring the view with a camera in hand.
An annual event that exhibit's the students of the Academy of Art University's best work. I'm proud to have three of my illustrations featured at the event of Spring 2014. Visit the link below and look for my name in the 'Foundations' section (isometric, one point & two point perspective drawings).
During my stay at the heart of San Francisco city I managed to befriend some kids who were entertained by my improvised kung-fu whenever I practice at the local park.
This was taken at the heart of my local city in Perth, Western Australia. Forrest Place is buzzing with activity below but I wonder how often people will stop for a brief moment to admire the beautiful architecture of these heritage buildings - especially the General Post Office that was built in 1914.
I had the pleasure of visiting Historic Guildford one weekend and found a bunch of antique stores near the railway station. I politely asked the store owners for permission to take photos of their collection. This was one of my favourite items at the Jones of Guildford.
I've been to a lot of cathedrals during my travels but what makes this one special is the fact that the whole building was literally leaning to one side due to a slowly sinking Mexico City. The frequent nature of earthquakes around the area don't help either. Read the article on the link below to get a picture of the phenomenon.
I love the unique shapes of the moss and rock formations on this mountain-pass. Not your typical dramatic cascading waterfall but it's nice to see a contrast of the stereotype and admire what I call a feather-light cascade.
And lots of it. I happen to capture a lot of activity at the town square in Mérida, Mexico - couples caressing and old folks strolling along. But just before I caught up with my travel mates for dinner I took this snapshot of locals interacting with pigeons. It was fascinating to watch, the kids were entertained and life goes on as usual.
This was taken just outside His Majesty's Theatre in Perth - the regal architecture adds charm to this modern city. I like how the King St. street sign acts as a focal point to this shot and it contrasts discretely with the other street sign that is Hay Street.
This fireworks display was held at the bay of San Francisco city to mark the eve to 2014. What a spectacle, I had the fortune of spending quality time with the Cuenco siblings and cousin for this festive occasion.
Believe it or not this was taken just outside my street - the silhouettes and colors work really well together. I got lucky and captured nature's majestic twilight show at the right moment.
